 | | 'Restoring' the chassis/suspension repair
After the leaf spring snapped, the Yellow camper has been stood up in my Barn.
I am thinking of getting rid of the Barn which means the vehicles that are in there will have to either be sold, or made roadworthy!
This means that Buzz the Camper has to have its leaf springs replaced!
Whilst the new ones are being made, and the axle removed, it will give me the oppertunity to clean up the chassis etc...
Follow what I do in this collection.....

 | | WHERE IT ALL BEGAN, My Jiffy Pick Up.
This is the vehicle that started it all for me.
Ths is 'jiffster' the Indespension Jiffy Pick up.
Here you can see the transformation of it, from how I bought it, to how it is today.
The photos will give a brief description of any points of interest.
This Jiffy was owned originally owned by a local Greyhound Track, hence the Logo on the front before being purchased by the local Mini Centre, Tupmans Mini's, of Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot, as their run around.
I used to use it to go to local car shows where it used to transport the Club Stand Equipment for the West of England Mini Club.
The Mini Centre then sold it, and a few years later it came up for sale in the Auto Trader where I purchased it.
THE REST IS NOW HISTORY.......................................

|
 | | The Mastermind Moment!!!!!
OK, some of you may know that I am turning the Jiffy Pick Up into a Box Lorry.
I have decided to go with the Eddie Stobart colour scheme, so the time can to remove the pick up bed, dismantle it and use the frame to mount the box to.
See the progress as it unfolds....
I have now done more to the cab as the weekend was so good weather wise, got a bit of sunburn but nevermind eh!!
The cab only needs the 'flip-up' front section to be done, then I will start the 'buffing' process.
Oh, and why the Mastermind Moment?? Well, I've started so
I'll finish!!!
|
 | | New Jiffy storage!
As I've got vehicles dotted about the countryside, I've decided to find ONE building to put them into!
Found this barn which has recently been done up and moved the white Camper into it!
This will make working on it alot easier during the wet weekends and dark winter evenings!
This will hopefully mean that work will come on alot faster with both Campers!!

Here is a collection of pictures of the work being carried out on Buzz, the Jiffy Camper.
See if you can spot the 'failures'!!!
Whilst the work is being carried out, it is giving me time to tidy up the engine bay, organise the wiring and pipework etc, all ready for the 2006 show season!
|
 | | JIFFSTER, Showin' off!!
Here are some other shots of 'Jiffster', out and about at various shows etc.
This colection also shows of some of the detail of the interior.
|
 | | BUZZ, The Jiffy Romahome Camper (some info updated)
This Collection shows a RARE Jiffy that has been converted to a Camper Van, using a Romahome body.
Going on information collected, this is one of only two Jiffys that were converted, possibly by Romahome themselves, during the early 1980's.
The body is the same that was used on the Honda Acty Romahomes, but where the Honda Body was demountable, these were attached to the chassis and bonded to the cab.
The rear of the cab has been removed to make it through cab.
These pictures show the transformation of the Camper, just after a quick wash.
Oh, I just thought I'd let you know that there are now more details coming through of a THIRD 80's Romahome, and also a 'NEW' conversion too. MORE DETAILS AS THEY UNFOLD!!!!!!
