I am thinking of getting rid of the Barn which means the vehicles that are in there will have to either be sold, or made roadworthy! This means that Buzz the Camper has to have its leaf springs replaced! Whilst the new ones are being made, and the axle removed, it will give me the oppertunity to clean up the chassis etc... All three Jiffys, all been started up in the last couple of weeks 'Buzz', the jiffy Romahome Camper, up on Axle Stands with the side covers removed Hmm!! The offending leaf spring The axle, axle brackets and broken leaf spring removed. The shocks have since been ditched. The chassis of the Jiffy, after the axle had been removed Yes, that is the original Jiffy Picj Up rear lights!! Move of the Jiffy Camper chassis, showing excess stuff, imcluding the 'air horn' compressors cable tide to the chassis Another view of the chasis, this time showing the gas canister cage. This is also to be removed to be cleaned up. The remaining piece of the broken leaf spring, still in the chassis The view of the side, minus the axle and side covers Full view of Buzz, with the other Jiffy Camper just in view Bracker 'U' bolts after cleaning up and sprayed with primer Bracket for Axle/leaf spring, complete with thick rubber bump stop. A bit filthy. All cleaned up, but will get new shoes Thats the Yellow I decided on for the body, so applied it to the drums too I wanted yellow, but think i got YELLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will be done in sections using Smoothrite, ok, not the best finish, but won;t be seen. One of the doors and the front end, sat in the garden, partially stripped After rubbing down with Wet n Dry paper, the Fuel Tank cover is sprayed This os one of the side panels sprayed in the Fiat Yellow Using Wet n Dry to rub down the cab The Hob, Fridge and storage cupboard beyond The sink and storage cupboards with the heater next to it A view of the inside, including the through cab The rear of the chassis now painted

The back is removed. Attempting to remove the stubborn bolts. Back at home without the back on The ride is VERY bumpy with no weight on the back Stickers removed The back sanded down ready for the repaint All naked Stickerless All stickers removed. The front bumper area etc is to be red The first bit of 'Stobart' paint Eddie Stobart 'livery' started!! Just gotta finish it!!! Ready for the repaint into the Stobart colours With everything masked off, I'm ready to spray the white paint. All of the white paint over the cab. Leave it to dry overnight With the white area covered, it's time to paint the green. Note the cap and T-Shirt, was a bit warm yesterday, got a 'bit' sunburnt!! That looks 'sore' mate!! The ox with the 'reveals' for the exhaust 'stacks' Sat in the garage drying out after the rain, before work can continue Primer now applied, box turned 90 degrees to get the front painted first first coat of the undercoat applied Rear of the box lorry With the front having had its two coats og Brunswick Green, the box is bolted down. Aluminium angle stripes seal the edges Thats looking more like it!!! Still got the cab to finish!! The rear light assembly Looking good now the front end has been sprayed Rear 3/4 view, finally outside!! The rearl light board working!! At long last, ALL the masking tape etc removed!! Logo under the windscreen The red 'shadowing' for the letters etc goes on. The clean up begins Exactly what it says in the grime! it WILL come off!! Ah, thats better!! Grill! Mmm, looks like a Panda!! Mini-Roma cutom made grill badge Together again! Swapped places!! Right, are there any more I can buy?? Haha!! Arty farty shot! The engine as it was when I bought it, non running and filthy!! After changing the carb to cure a HUGE petrol leak, the engine sprang into life!! YYYYIIIPPPPEEEE!!!! Once it was running, I jetwashed the ehgine bay, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

My FIRST CAR!! A 998cc de-seamed Mini with a flip front. It was Snap Dragon Yellow with 10 i had some omney to modify it so went for a total de-seam and a roof chop I also changed the engine to a 1275cc Electric Blue paintwork with white lining Here is the bike that I got the paintwork design from ANOTHER Roof Chop Mini! THIS WAS AWESOME!! Had been in Custom Car magazine One on 10's and one on 13 Not something you see every day! 1972 Mini Pick up 13 Red and Chrome Supercharged 1275cc Engine Carb at the front mounted on the Shorrock Supercgarger Power Bulge in the bonnet to clear carb Rear Pick Up bed was covered with a red tonneau cover with white piping The tailgate with B.M.C. grafted onto it. Note the Black metalflake paint sparkling in the sun Rear bed lined with varnished wood Mmm, bit small isn't it! For some reason I felt inadequate!! LOVELY!! Engine bay, minus the Supercharger as being shown at the first Miniworld Show at Sandown Racecourse. Got the Trophy for Best Custom Craigs Chopped and Shortened Mini Estate It's named 'SEMI SKIMMED' Roof Chop from the front! Get Shorty!!!

Mmm, think that needed replacing too!! Decided to paint the gearbox blck too! Lowered right to the floor to get engine in Arms and shock now in place both sides Hubs, before and after clean up and paint! Engine in, but front not painted yet (just to save time at the mo! Hubs in place too!! (Engine REALLY does need painting!!) Well, I had to beat the rain somehow!! That stopped the rain Mr Stubborn Brake Connector, meet Mr Angle Grinder!!

First, off comes the bumper Heres the engine bay. The radiator is removed and all pipework and cables disconnected. Err, are the drive shaft bolts supposed to be like this?? Think we could do with cleaning this!! Engine out!! Now, is that supposed to be like that?? Any more yellow chalk and the subframe would match the cab!! Mmm, don't think that gap should be there!! Definately not right, is it!! I think I'll agree with the MOT tester on this one! Split on the top of turret too!! Subframe out complete Uncluttered engine bay, with all wiring and pipework removed The wiring loom pulled into the cab With a 'little' bit of leverage!!! AIN't POWER TOOLS BRILLIANT!!! Nice and clean with all rust and paint removed! THATS BETTER!!! Oooohhh!! Hovering Jiffy!!

Complete with Best Club Stand Trophy for the West of England Mini Club The Club Stand at Powderham Castle. There is a Classic Car/Steam Rally held there every July, it is a HUGE and fantastic show! At the North Devon Mini Register Grand Tour. Fancy Dress always goes down well!! As with most Mini's and Mini 'things'. the Union Jack features heavily! Even the seats are covered in Union Jack!! Here is the Jiffy in front of Mission Adventuresport. This is a store for all your Extreme Sporting needs. Mission Adventuresport The Jiffy at the Miniworld Show at Sandown Racecourse. Note the west of England Mini Club barbecue on the back! Right in the middle of it all!! The Jiffy in the Show 'n; Shine area at the Riviera Run in Newquay. Jiffy with Dirtsurfer again! A nice clean Jiffy carrying a Dirtsurfer. This is an Inline Mountain Board that you can either use downhill or with a Power Kite!! Mental Fun!! Here is the Jiffy at night showing the Angel Eye headlights and the four Angel Eye Spotlights in full effect. Powderham, an Excellent Classic Show in July each year. This was the first outing for Buzz the Jiffy Camper. A weekend away to Newquay. New Wheels!! 12 You always see flags flying from Camper vans at shows, so if you have a small 'van, you gotta have a LARGE pole!! As Buzz is over 20 years old, it is able to join the Classic Camper Club! Here it is seen in the main arena at the CCC National Event in 2005 OOOPSS! Having a brake split required a bit of help from a very nice man with a long lorry!! Here is the Jiffy Camper with its new awning at the Southern Mini Days in Kent. Meeting another member of the MotorhomeFacts Forum. How the body should come off. The original bodies were fitted to Honda Acty pic ups and were de-mountable.

]]> Wed Sep 7 2005 BUZZ, The Jiffy Romahome Camper (some info updated) http://jiffyregister.fotopic.net/c675322.html This Collection shows a RARE Jiffy that has been converted to a Camper Van, using a Romahome body. Going on information collected, this is one of only two Jiffys that were converted, possibly by Romahome themselves, during the early 1980's. The body is the same that was used on the Honda Acty Romahomes, but where the Honda Body was demountable, these were attached to the chassis and bonded to the cab. The rear of the cab has been removed to make it through cab. These pictures show the transformation of the Camper, just after a quick wash. Monday 6 February 2006: This Collection shows a RARE Jiffy that has been converted to a Camper Van, using a Romahome body. Going on information collected, this is one of only two Jiffys that were converted, possibly by Romahome themselves, during the early 1980's. The body is the same that was used on the Honda Acty Romahomes, but where the Honda Body was demountable, these were attached to the chassis and bonded to the cab. The rear of the cab has been removed to make it through cab. These pictures show the transformation of the Camper, just after a quick wash. This Jiffy Camper sat here for two years Bit of a sorry site, very green and slimey! Well, at least she started firsat time! Back home after travelling from Colchester to South Devon! Come inside! OK, it has potential! As the interior was when we got the Jiffy Camper. On this side is the 2 ring gas hob(bottom right of pic),fridge and 12volt leisure battery. There is also the 240volt electric hook up. This side houses the sink, complete with running water!! Looking through to the cab from the back. Needs a bit of a clean since the mice have now been evicted! Note that the Jiffy uses Miniseats, steering etc. Mmm, so it's white then? Cab came up well with just water and a sponge! Amazing what some elbow grease will do! Why do it yourself eh? It was thick with the green algae bulid up. An hour and a half later, yes it is the same vehicle. Looking alot better now. Ths is 'jiffster' the Indespension Jiffy Pick up. Here you can see the transformation of it, from how I bought it, to how it is today. The photos will give a brief description of any points of interest. This Jiffy was owned originally owned by a local Greyhound Track, hence the Logo on the front before being purchased by the local Mini Centre, Tupmans Mini's, of Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot, as their run around. I used to use it to go to local car shows where it used to transport the Club Stand Equipment for the West of England Mini Club. The Mini Centre then sold it, and a few years later it came up for sale in the Auto Trader where I purchased it. THE REST IS NOW HISTORY....................................... Here is the Jiffy Pick up not long after i bought it. Note the 10 Rear view of the Pick up bed. The greyhound on this jiffy is from one of its previous owners. It was used as a Greyhound Track service vehicle! Rear view with the start of the stickers!! Just after the chassis was painted and before the stickers were applied. Also, note the wheel edge detailing hasn't been applied yet either.
